Ms. Ehlers is a
Senior Vice President at Powell Capital Markets. Her
background includes extensive experience in public
finance and quantitative techniques. Ms. Ehlers entered
the field in 1989 in the Public Finance Department at
Merrill Lynch, where she specialized in municipal
reinvestments. After obtaining her MBA from Columbia
University, Ms. Ehlers worked at Credit Suisse Financial
Products where she analyzed interest rate swaps,
mortgage-related derivatives and structured notes for
municipalities and banks.
In 1996, Ms. Ehlers transferred
into the hedge fund group at CS First Boston, where she
served as Quantitative Strategist until 1998. In this
capacity she was responsible for integrating economic,
technical and quantitative information into investment
strategies, using products spanning interest rate swaps,
swap options, foreign exchange forwards and foreign
exchange options.
Ms. Ehlers provides expert
structuring analysis and takes a primary role in
transaction management and document review. She has
structured taxable and tax-exempt transactions,
refundings, restructurings and new money issues for a
wide variety of issuers.
Ms. Ehlers has over 10 years’
experience in various quantitative capacities in the
fixed income field, has trained others in spreadsheet
programming and fixed income pricing, and has completed
both Munex-specific seminars: Introduction to Techniques
for Quantitative Public Finance and Advanced Topics in
Quantitative Public Finance.
Ms. Ehlers graduated Magna Cum
Laude from Princeton University with an A.B. in History
and received an MBA in Finance and Management from
Columbia University. She maintains a Series 7 license. |
